What a week...what a week...

Recovered well on monday morning due to a solid nights sleep. Got on the road bike a good amount this week...my mountain rig is still in the shop...no word on the fork status...being rehabed in california. The highlight of the week by far was getting a chance to see Henry Rollins perform. He spoke at the Birchmere in Northern Virginia on Tuesday night. I have been reading his books for the past couple of years and he was the inspiration for me to begin writing a journal.
The show was amazing...he spoke for a solid 3 hours...never taking a break...not even to sip on the bottles of water laid in front of him. He touched on the obvious topics at first...politics...the war...CNN...FOX News...etc, etc. Now...I am not as on par or point with these topics...but I am not completely ignorant. The second hour of the show was pretty much dedicated to a story of how he had the chance to perform with his favorite band...Th Ruts over in London for a tribute show. Then the final hour was dedictated to his love of getting out and seeing the world...traveling. Awesome...I was glued to my seat for the entire 3 hours.

Tomorrow I am getting set for my 2nd 'Cross race of the season...takes place up in Hagerstown, Maryland...the "AVC Cross"...I am looking forward to getting out there and applying what I learned last week to this race. The legs and body have felt good all week on the road bike...a little sore last night...but with some hydration and rest I should be ready to hit it tomorrow.

I hope you enjoy the pics of Rollins...I blanked and left my camera in the car...these were some images poached off Google.

Well...it's Friday...kids just rolled out of the locker room...and I am still sitting here at my desk? What am I doing? Time to roll...
