Happy 2-9er...

Hey...it's my birthday! 29...2-9...two-nine. I have officially arrived at the final year of my twenties! Time flies, right? I find myself sitting in front of my health classroom aimlessly suring the internets while my 7th graders quietly scribbling away at their first exam of the marking period. I am anxious to get out of here...taking a 1/2 day...stopping by the apartment to grab my bag and bike then off to Waldorf to pick up Eryka...then it is off to my parents home in Bethany for a nice birthday weekend. I am super stoked to see my parents and my sisters...and share in the celebration with the love of my life. Even taking my bike to try and get outside for some spins off the trainer...and onto the flatness that is Bethany Beach.

Training is going real well...I am pleased with where I am at...re-tested my threshold last saturday...I was stoked on the results...bumped my Lactate Threshold from 181 bpms to 183 bpms. Comparing my mileage from last season to this season, I am ahead of where I was...this is a good thing.

The race season is starting to take real shape...with many series releasing the actual schedules I am able to being the process of picking out which races I want to do...logistically, financially, and geographically. Greenbrier, Mid-Atlantic Super Series, Wednesdays @ Wakefield, and the Cranky Monkey are the main ones I am looking to compete in.

My boys The Mars Volta have churned out a new album, "The Bedlam in Goliath"...super solid album...loud and fast...it has been on heavy rotation during my training spins...

Time to split...bells ringing...off to the beach...
